Documents are encrypted, access is restricted to your assigned advisor, and nothing is shared without your written consent.
Anyone whose total income exceeds the basic exemption limit must file. You should also file if you want a refund, need to carry forward a loss, hold foreign assets, or have specified high-value transactions (e.g. foreign travel over ₹2 lakh, electricity bills over ₹1 lakh, or deposits over ₹1 crore) even if your income is below the exemption limit.
An ITR is accepted proof of income for loans, visas, and tenders. It lets you claim refunds of excess TDS, carry forward capital or business losses to future years, and reduces the chance of receiving a departmental notice for non-filing.
Your documents are stored encrypted and are only visible to the advisor assigned to your case. We never share your financial information with any third party without your written consent, and data is retained only as long as regulations require.
ITR-1 suits salary income with up to two house properties and other income, with no capital gains or foreign assets. ITR-2 adds capital gains, multiple properties, or foreign assets, with no business income. ITR-3 and ITR-4 apply where you have business or professional income, with ITR-4 available if you opt for presumptive taxation.
Depending on the asset, you can claim reinvestment exemptions under Sections 54, 54F, or 54EC, offset gains against carried-forward or current-year capital losses, hold assets long enough to qualify for long-term rates, and use the annual exemption available on long-term equity gains.
No. Gains from virtual digital assets are taxed at a flat 30% under Section 115BBH, with no deduction other than cost of acquisition and no set-off against other income or losses. The Section 87A rebate is generally not available against this special-rate income.
Capital gains on shares are taxed at their own special rates under both regimes, so the regime choice mainly affects the rest of your income and your eligible deductions (80C, HRA, home loan interest, etc.). We run both computations and tell you which one lowers your total tax.
Tax Deducted at Source is tax withheld by the payer at the time of making specified payments — salary, rent, professional fees, or property sale proceeds — which is deposited with the government and credited against the recipient's final tax liability.
The 1% TDS on property sale under Section 194-IA is deducted by the buyer but belongs to the seller — it reflects in the seller's Form 26AS/AIS and is claimed as a tax credit in the seller's own ITR. The buyer's obligation is limited to filing Form 26QB and issuing Form 16B.
You claim a Foreign Tax Credit under Sections 90/91 and Rule 128 by filing Form 67 before the ITR due date, reporting the income and foreign tax paid in Schedule FSI and Schedule TR of your return, subject to the relevant DTAA.
Dates below apply unless extended by the Income Tax Department or CBDT. Always confirm before your specific deadline.
